With this being our 10 season and with few new players we had a lot of confidence that we would be there challenging for the title. We started off pretty good away win at Bottesford and draw against Caterpillar who went on to be crowned champions but then we went through our usual two months of missing 3 or 4 players each week through all different reasons which meant we only won 3 more league game upto Christmas and also got knocked out of both the County Cup and Colin Trophy. At the turn of the new year we only had 7 remaining league game left winning 3 drew 1 and lost 3 and with no cancellations through bad weather it meant our league campaign finished on 1 April and we finishing mid division. The league decided that they would be a Premier Cup competition they split the league into 2 groups we went on and won all four of games and ended top of our league which meant we would play East Leake in the semi-final it was a good game but came away losing 4-1 which brought our season to an end it seemed that most of the players enjoyed the season with Falcons and hopefully they will be all sing on next season It is with sadness that PAM our secretary sadly passed away in early January she will be missed by all but I am sure she will be cheering on next season |
