We started the season with a new manager in Craig Dawson and with his enthusiasm and a few new players adding to her squad we were all looking forward to the start of the season. In our first four league games we won 2 and lost 2 and then went on a run of 7 undefeated games 3 wins and 4 draws we were really disappointed in 2 of the draw we were wining 2-0 to Kegworth with few minutes to go and it ended 2-2 and we were winning 3-1 at East Leake with five minutes to go and it ended 3-3 this was really concerning as we were giving really silly goals away and it came to a head when Ingles thrashed us 6-0 Craig went looking for new players Dan Riley a keeper and a few others and from the end of November we went 10 undefeated games 6 win and 4 draws but lost our last game of the season 2-1 If we could have had this squad from the beginning of the season no telling what would have happened we would probably have ended second or even won the league but it was not to be we are oping that the majority of the squad signed next season and we can really give it a good go at winning the league. How cup campaign started quiet well were drawn at home to Harborough Town Res in the County Cup and won 4-1 in next round we came up against Belgrave and they beat us 3-2 we should have won this game but the luck was with them and not us In the Cobbin Trophy we were drawn at home to Ingle's who at the time had not been beaten in any competition and they went away with a 7-4 victory the result doesn't justify how we played we were olding our own upto the last 25 minute's the score was 4-3 to Ingle and we were playing pretty well and then disaster struck in quick succession we had three bad injuries and with us already used our Subs we were virtually down to 8 men and Ingle's capitalised on this and when no to come away with the victory
